The site will allow users to post an assignment for reporters. If the assignment is approvedm then it may need funding at which point donations will be requested. It promises “high-quality, original reporting, in any medium, through donations to a non-profit calledNewAssignment.Net”.
“New Assignment says: here’s the story so far. We’ve collected a lot of good information. Add your knowledge and make it better. Add money and make it happen. Work with us if you know things we don’t.”
The launch has been announced for September and it already appears to have lots of big names supporting it.
